History

Thierry BEAUMONT, as successor of his parents and after more than 4 generations of winemakers. The wine has been first sold in barrels to wine merchants from 1991 to 1998. Starting 1999, 80% of the wine is bottled at the vineyard and sold by the BEAUMONT family, of which 80% are export sales worldwide. Before this was possible, heavy investments were necessary to achieve the desired quality wine level :

Vinification

Green harvest, then manual harvest only, draining, grapes sorting and stemming by 100%. Fermentation in concrete tanks 15 to 20 days, slight press and control of the temperature with maceration and pre-fermentation. Maturing and care of the wines in barrels is 12 to 18 months long. Grand Cru and Premier Cru wines are matured by using 60% new oak barrels. This rate is 30% for the Village appellations. There is none or a very slight filtration, bottling takes place at the vineyard.
